Promajna is a more exclusive suburb of Makarska and in this area there is the longest beach on the Dalmatian coast. This section of beach is tree lined and as a beach resort Promanja is one of the most elegant in the area.
Just a short distance away in Makarska there is a main harbour, ferry port and marina, together with a charming old city with many restaurants, bars, and night entertainment. There are many interesting historical places and buildings of architectural merit. This area is generally very popular for families with young children and teenagers.
From the port of Makarska there are regular ferry services to all the main islands as well as connections to the North Dalmatian resort of Split and the South Dalmatian resort of Dubrovnik. Promajna is in an excellent central position.
